- to enable git server
- install git (duh!)
- create 'git' user

- mkdir 'wiki' dir
mkdir /wiki chown git. /wiki
- create git repo - getting git on server
su - git cd /wiki git init --bare --shared
- clone repo and initial commit (on local machine)
